Following the 1992 Rio of Janeiro Summit, Réseau Action Climat - France (RAC-F) was created in 1996, just before the Kyoto Summit. RAC-F is a non-profit organization specialized on climate change issues, one of the 700 members of Climate Action Network - International. RAC-F regroups 18 French NGOs active in environmental protection, promotion of renewable energies, sustainable transportation and international solidarity : Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, WWF, HELIO International, BirdLife, the French Renewable Energy Liaison Committee (CLER) and anti-nuclear energy network (Réseau Sortir du Nucléaire), Hespul, Oxfam ...
